  1. 9 Section Chain Whip

    9 Section Chain Whip

Light weight wushu and heavy weight chain whips for traditional martial artists. Light weight chain whips are great for wushu and contemporary styles. Heavy chain whips are preferred for traditional styles Note: the handle and pointed tip are considered sections. Proper fitting chain whip should almost touch the ground when held in the middle of the chest or just below shoulder level. The Chain Whip is classified as a soft weapon, one which is jointed or easily bent. Most soft weapons are used as secondary weapons and employed only when the main weapon is disabled or lost. Because of their flexibility, they are easily hidden, commonly fastened to the back, the waist, or the arm and do not interfere with mobility during combat. Soft weapons are typically used for disabling an adversary. Although they may not have the killing potential and the efficiency of other weapons, they can be deadly when striking at sensitive areas and cause internal injuries. Learn More

  2. Wushu Staff

    Wushu Staff

White Wax Wood is the wood of Ligustrum lucidum (Glossy Privet, Chinese Privet or Broad-leaf Privet), which has been prized in China for thousands of years. It is considered one of the best materials from which to fashion staffs, spear shafts, and walking sticks, because it is tough, hard and flexible and can absorb shock without breaking. A white waxwood staff, shaft, or walking stick is made from a sapling. Martial artists will typically choose a piece of waxwood cut to be 6" - 9" (15 - 23 cms) above their own height, and which will have a pointed end (toward the top of the wax wood stalk) and a thicker base. Flexible for wushu training, the cudgel or wooden stick is called the "father of all weapons" meaning all other weapons were developed from it. Cudgel is played as quickly as heavy rainfall and cudgel play combines offence with defense, always changing the ways of play. The Wushu Cudgel is made up of a white wax wood, that only grows in Northern China. This wood is used because of the flexibility and spring-like quality. 5 sizes available! 66 inch (Kids Staff) Length 66"; Big end: 7/8” to 1”; Small end: 1/2" to 5/8", Weight: 12.2 oz. 68 inch : Length 68"; Big end: 1” to 1.1/8”; Small end: 1/2" to 5/8", Weight: 14.9 oz. 72 inch : Length: 72"; Big end: 1” to 1.3/16”; Small end: 3/4" to 7/8", Weight: 15.5 oz. 77 inch : Length: 77"; Big end: 1.1/4” to 1.8/8”; Small end: 3/4" to 7/8", Weight: 1Ib 6 oz or more. 85 inch: Length: 85"; Big end: 1.1/4” to 1.8/8”; Small end: 3/4" to 7/8", Weight: I Ib 8 oz or more.
