What is Wushu?

Wushu is a modern Chinese martial arts that is both artistic and powerful. It has a form element (called ‘taolu’) and sparring element (called ’sanshou’). The martial art is used in many popular movies due to its acrobatic nature. Wushu training can provide benefits in the areas of: fitness, self-defense, cardio, slimming, acrobatics, kick boxing, stunt work, action on film, and confidence building.

Coaching

Personal training comes from World Wushu Champion (First American US men’s team member to win a Gold at the World Games) US National Wushu Team Athlete and former UCLA Wushu Club President and Coach. He has over 10 years of experience working with and teaching actors, celebrities, stuntmen, children as young as 3, to adults over 60.  He has trained and taught internationally from California, New York, to China. He has competed and received medals in national and international competitions.

Instructor is proficient in English and Chinese (Mandarin). Awards include: Gold at 2009 World Wushu Championships. US National Tournament Gold Medal Champion, Medalist at Pan-American Games, 2008 CMAT All-Around Champion. Featured on FOX, NBC, and MTV displaying martial arts skills.
