Wushu on the Website

Well, whatever the chinese martial arts “Wushu” had in terms of recognition in the 2008 beijing olympics, it feels good to see on the official olympics movement website that wushu is a recognised event.

Click under “Movement” and then there is a dropdown with one category called “IFs” and you will see Wushu at the very end of the list under “Recognised sports”

WUSHU Featured in Spike’s Deadliest Warrior!

The new TV series Deadliest Warrior, which premieres April 7 on Spike, will use 21st-century science and the latest in CGI technology to pit some of the most feared warriors civilization has ever known against each other.

Go behind the scenes in this exclusive video clip with computer programmer and game designer Max Geiger, test engineer Geoff Desmoullin and others members of the Deadliest Warrior team as they explain how they create head-to-head fights between legends of the battlefield.

“It’s very easy to die as a human being,” says Geiger. “But it’s very hard to kill.”

Showdowns this season include Pirate vs. Knight, Taliban vs. IRA, Yakuza vs. Mafia, Viking vs. Samurai, Green Beret vs. Spetznaz, Maori vs. Shaolin Monks, William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu and Ninja vs. Spartan.
